I chose Marie biscuits because they are perennially available in my pantry; plus they don't become soggy after soaking in syrup; PLUS they are comparatively healthier! :P If we are going to indulge, we might as well try and lessen the impact of what we're about to eat, heh?
Marie Biscuit Chocolate Floaters Recipe | Dessert in under 5 minutes
(Print this Recipe)
Prep Time - 5 min
Chill Time - 30 minutes or more
Makes - 1 serving
You'll need
4 or 5 marie biscuits (if you wanna stack up more, use more biscuits)
6-8 tbsp milk (or as needed)
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder (I used more because I wanted a dark choc taste)
2 tbsp chopped cashews (or almonds)
1/2 cup caramel sauce (prepared or store brought) ** Refer Note 1
1. Mix cocoa powder & caster sugar together
** 1. Substitutes: I had some left over caramel sauce which I warmed & used. You can get it in the supermarket. Or as I believe, you get butterscotch or caramel chips ready made. You can melt that and use. OR If neither of the 2 options are convenient, you could use whipped cream or nutella or chocolate ganache instead.
2. Usually, store bought biscuits work best for such recipes. Especially, marie or digestive marie.
3. Even chilling it for 20 minutes is enough to solidify the chocolate sauce in between the biscuits.
looks perfect :)tempting
